This project was located in Cashiers, NC and was a prime contract for the site improvements for the new Cashiers Recreation Center. The major challenges associated with the project included harsh weather during the winter months and the high water table conditions associated with the site. Major items included within the construction where 5 AC of clearing & grubbing, 1,375 LF of silt fence, 2 temporary skimmer basins, 32,000 CY of cut-fill excavation, 3,900 LF of storm drain pipe, 59 storm drain structures, stormwater management lift station, bioretention basins, 1,500 LF of DIP water line, 1,250 LF of 8" DIP sewer line, 4,200 TN of stone base, 8,800 SY of asphalt paving, 390 CY of structural concrete, and the fire protection system for the future building.
