Sidewalk is a form of transportation that is often overlooked. The most common material used for the construction of sidewalk is concrete. Similar to concrete slabs on grade, there are several factors that affect the overall performance of concrete sidewalk. These factors include the sub-grade of the sidewalk, sidewalk design, and placement methods used.
Our company has a history of providing quality concrete sidewalk projects as both stand alone sidewalk projects or as a component of a larger site of highway project. Two forms of placement are utilized by our staff, which includes hand-form placement, and slipforming. Both methods provide a quality product, but under ideal conditions slipforming methods provide faster placement. The typical widths our firm slipforms includes 4-foot, 5-foot, 6-foot, and 8-foot. Our firm has been recognized for our accomplishments in sidewalk placement in "Gomaco World" magazine, please click the link below to read the featured article.
